Vacancy Details

UIIC has provisionally announced 225 Administrative Officer (Scale I) positions, distributed across two distinct disciplines. Candidates are permitted to apply for only one discipline, either Generalists or Hindi Officers. Multiple applications or appearances will result in the cancellation of candidature. Individuals currently serving as Administrative Officers (Scale-I) in UIIC are not eligible for these positions.

  • Administrative Officer – Generalists: 200 posts (UR-68, OBC-62, EWS-22, SC-30, ST-18; PwBD horizontal: VI-2, HI-2, OC-4, MD/ID-3)
  • Administrative Officer – Hindi Officers: 25 posts (UR-11, OBC-7, EWS-2, SC-4, ST-1; PwBD horizontal: VI-1)

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet specific nationality, educational qualification, and age limit criteria as of the stipulated dates.

Nationality

Applicants must primarily be citizens of India. Other eligible categories include subjects of Nepal/Bhutan, Tibetan refugees who arrived before 1st January 1962, and persons of Indian origin who have migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanent settlement in India. Candidates in these latter categories must possess an eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India.

Educational Qualification (as on 30.06.2026)

All required educational qualifications must be obtained on or before 30th June 2026 from a UGC/AICTE recognized university or institute, following the 10+2+3 pattern or its equivalent. A working knowledge of computers is essential for all applicants.

  • For Generalists: A Graduate or Postgraduate degree in any discipline (e.g., Engineering, Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture, Data Science) from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD categories).
  • For Hindi Officers: A Master’s Degree from a recognized university with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or as the medium of examination at the degree level, with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD categories).

Candidates with CGPA/OGPA/SGPA must provide a university-issued conversion certificate. Percentage fractions such as 59.99% will not be rounded up to 60%.

Age Limit (as on 30.06.2026)

The minimum age for applicants is 21 years, and the maximum age is 30 years. Candidates should have been born between 30th June 1996 and 30th June 2005 (both dates inclusive).

Age relaxations are provided for various categories, subject to a cumulative maximum age of 45 years:

  • Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe: 5 Years
  • Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: 10 Years
  • Ex-servicemen (with at least 5 years military service): 5 Years
  • Defence personnel disabled in operations: 3 Years
  • Widows, divorced women, and women legally separated (not remarried): 9 Years
  • Existing confirmed employees of Public Sector General Insurance Companies (including GIC & Agriculture Insurance Company of India Ltd.): 8 Years

Selection Process

The selection process for UIIC Administrative Officer (Scale I) positions will primarily involve two stages of online examinations:
