Vacancy Details

SBI aims to recruit a total of 35 dedicated Trade Finance Officers. The vacancies are distributed across the two specified grades as follows:

  • Trade Finance Officer - IBG (TFO-IBG), JMGS-I: 14 Posts
  • Trade Finance Officer - IBG (TFO-IBG), MMGS-II: 21 Posts

The total number of positions is 35.

Eligibility Criteria

Prospective candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements as of July 31, 2026:

Age Limit

  • For JMGS-I (Maker role): Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age.
  • For MMGS-II (Checker role): Candidates must be between 23 and 32 years of age.

Age relaxations for reserved categories will be applied as per Government of India guidelines:

  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): +3 years
  • SC/ST: +5 years
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) - UR/EWS: +10 years
  • PwBD - OBC: +13 years
  • PwBD - SC/ST: +15 years

Educational Qualification

Mandatory Qualification (for both posts):

  • A Graduate degree in any discipline from a university or institution recognized by the Government of India.
  • A Certification in Forex Operations from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF), dated on or before July 31, 2026.

Preferred Certifications (dated on or before July 31, 2026):

  • Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists (CDCS) by LIBF, OR
  • Certificate for Specialists in Demand Guarantees (CSDG) by LIBF, OR
  • Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP) by ICC Academy, OR
  • Global Trade Certificate (GTC) by ICC Academy, OR
  • Certificate in International Trade Finance (CITF) by LIBF, OR
  • Certificate in International Trade Finance (IIBF).

Experience Requirement

  • For JMGS-I: A minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience in Trade Finance processing and operations. This experience must be in an Officer/Official role within a scheduled commercial bank, preferably in a maker capacity.
  • For MMGS-II: A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in Trade Finance processing. This experience must be in an Officer/Official role within a scheduled commercial bank.

Please note that teaching or training experience will not be considered towards the eligibility criteria. Candidates must provide a relevant experience certificate from their employer, explicitly detailing their experience in the specified field.

Salary

Selected candidates will receive competitive remuneration along with other benefits. The indicative pay scales are as follows:

  • Junior Management Grade Scale - I (JMGS-I): ₹48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920
  • Middle Management Grade Scale - II (MMGS-II): ₹64820-2340/1-67160-2680/10-93960

In addition to the basic pay, selected officers will be entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Provident Fund, Contributory Pension Fund (NPS), Leave Fare Concession (LFC), medical facilities, and other perquisites as per the Bank's rules.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Trade Finance Officer positions will involve two main stages:

  1. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualifications, experience, and other relevant criteria as determined by the Bank.
  2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. The interview aims to assess their professional knowledge, communication skills, and suitability for the role.

SBI reserves the right to modify the selection process, if necessary, depending on the number of applications received.
