Vacancy Details
PDCC Bank is recruiting for a single position category: Shipai (Peon), with a total of 289 open posts. All vacancies will be filled on a priority basis exclusively from original residents of Pune district.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have successfully completed the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination (12th standard) or hold an equivalent diploma.
Age Requirement: The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 38 years, calculated as on August 1, 2026. Candidates already employed on a contract basis with various bank-affiliated agencies or organizations, who possess a minimum of 3 years of work experience as on August 1, 2026, are eligible for an upper age limit extension to 43 years.
Domicile Requirement: Applicants must be original residents of Pune district with a minimum residency period of 15 years, supported by a valid Domicile Certificate issued after 2018 by a competent authority. Married women from outside Pune district may apply if they provide their husband's domicile certificate for Pune district along with the marriage registration certificate.
Physical Fitness: Candidates must be physically capable of performing movement-related duties associated with the Shipai role and submit a declaration confirming small family status under the Maharashtra Civil Services Rules, 2005.
Application & Fee Details
Applications must be submitted online only. The application fee is Rs. 1,650 plus 18% GST and service charge. Payment is accepted through UPI, Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, or Mobile Wallets (Google Pay, PhonePe, BHIM). The fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred or utilized for any other examination or selection process.
Selection Process
The recruitment involves a three-stage process. Candidates first appear for an offline written examination conducted using the OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) method, carrying 70 marks. The question paper is objective and multiple-choice in nature, administered in Marathi medium. Following the written exam, shortlisted candidates proceed to document verification. Finally, selected candidates participate in an interview round, which carries 30 marks. Merit determination will be based on the combined performance across the written exam and interview components.
Salary & Service Terms
Selected candidates will be appointed on a temporary probationary basis for six months. During probation, the consolidated monthly remuneration is Rs. 12,000. Upon successful completion of probation and confirmation, candidates will be placed on the applicable pay scale with all additional allowances and benefits as per the bank's policies and norms.
