National Insurance Company Limited (NICL), a Government of India Undertaking, is recruiting talented professionals for 321 Administrative Officer positions at Scale-I level. Vacancy Details

NICL is offering a total of 321 positions comprising 200 generalist officer vacancies and 121 specialist officer positions. The specialist vacancies are distributed across seven disciplines: Finance (20 posts), Legal (20 posts), Information Technology (10 posts + 1 backlog), Automobile Engineering (20 posts), Risk Engineering (28 posts), Company Secretaries (2 posts), and Agriculture (20 posts). Vacancies are allocated to various categories including Unreserved (UR), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) reservation is applicable horizontally across all positions as per the detailed notification.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Requirement: Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age as on 01 October 2026.

Educational Qualification: All educational qualifications must be obtained from a recognized Indian University (approved by UGC) or recognized institute (approved by AICTE) as applicable.

For Generalist Officers: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or any Post Graduate qualification in any stream with a minimum of 60% marks. SC/ST/PwBD candidates are required to secure at least 55% marks.

For Specialist Officers: Finance specialists need to be Chartered Accountants (ICAI) or Cost and Management Accountants with graduation or postgraduate qualifications. Legal specialists require a law degree at graduate or postgraduate level. IT specialists must hold B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology, or an MCA degree. Automobile Engineering specialists need relevant engineering qualifications plus at least one year of automobile engineering diploma. Risk Engineers should have engineering qualifications in disciplines other than IT and Automobile. Company Secretaries must be ACS/FCS qualified. Agriculture specialists require a four-year degree or postgraduate qualification in Agriculture, Agricultural Biotechnology, or Agricultural Engineering. All specialists must achieve 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).

Selection Process

The recruitment follows a rigorous three-stage selection methodology. Candidates will first appear for Phase-I Preliminary Examination on 17 November 2026, which will test fundamental knowledge and aptitude. Successful candidates will be shortlisted for Phase-II Main Examination scheduled for 22 December 2026, which will assess domain expertise and analytical capabilities. Finally, shortlisted candidates from the main examination will be called for a personal interview and group discussion round. The final merit list will be prepared based on combined performance across all stages. Call letters for subsequent stages will be made available on the official NICL website.

Compensation & Benefits

Selected candidates will be appointed as Administrative Officers at Scale-I with an initial basic pay of ₹82,485 per month. The total monthly emoluments approximate ₹1,14,000 in metropolitan centers. Officers will receive benefits including New Pension Scheme contributions managed by PFRDA, gratuity upon retirement, leave travel allowances, comprehensive medical coverage, group personal accident insurance, and company-provided or company-leased accommodation as per organizational norms. The application process requires submission of personal details, educational qualifications, work experience if any, and contact information. Simultaneously, candidates must pay the applicable application fee through the online payment gateway. General category candidates, including OBC and EWS candidates, must pay ₹1,000 (including intimation charges and GST). SC/ST/PwBD candidates are required to pay ₹250 (intimation charges only with GST). Bank transaction charges, if any, will be borne by the candidate.
