Vacancy Details

Bank of Baroda is recruiting 2,482 Local Bank Officers distributed across 20 states, with positions graded at JMG/S-I level. The distribution includes 1,300 new vacancies and 1,182 unfilled vacancies carried forward from earlier recruitment exercises. Applicants may apply for only one state of their choice, and merit lists will be prepared on a state-wise and category-wise basis. Reserved positions include 358 for SC candidates, 240 for ST candidates, 600 for OBC candidates, and 303 for EWS candidates, with 981 positions available for the general category. Additionally, 130 positions are reserved for candidates with disabilities across various categories including locomotor disability, hearing impairment, visual impairment, and specific disability categories.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Indian citizens, or nationals of Nepal/Bhutan, Tibetan refugees who arrived before 1 January 1962 with settlement intent, or persons of Indian origin from specified countries (Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam) who migrated to India with settlement intent.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or educational institution. This is a mandatory requirement for eligibility.

Professional Experience: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of post-qualification experience working as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank. This experience is mandatory and will be assessed as of 01 August 2026.

Language Requirement: Proficiency in the local language of the state for which the candidate is applying is essential. Each state has been assigned a specific local language (e.g., Telugu for Andhra Pradesh, Gujarati for Gujarat, Marathi for Maharashtra). For Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, English is accepted as the local language only if candidates have studied and passed English as a subject from schools located in those respective states.

Preferred Qualifications: While not mandatory, candidates possessing IC 38 certification from the Insurance Institute of India, or NISM certifications (Series V-A for Mutual Fund Distributors, Series XXI-A for PMS Distributors, or Series XIII for Common Derivatives) may have an advantage during the selection process.

Selection Process

The selection methodology for this recruitment will involve an online examination, the details of which will be communicated separately by Bank of Baroda. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the online test.
