Bank of Baroda (BOB), operating through its Bengaluru Zone, has issued an official notification for the engagement of 'Guest Players' on a retainership basis. This recruitment drive aims to strengthen the Bank's Sports Teams based in Bengaluru across Cricket, Basketball, and Kabaddi disciplines. A total of 14 vacancies are available for male Indian citizens who possess the specified educational and sports qualifications. Selected candidates will be engaged for a period of 12 months on a contractual, temporary basis, which does not confer any right to regular employment within the Bank. Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy the following conditions as on the stipulated cut-off date (29.09.2026) to be considered eligible for the Guest Player role:

Age Limit

Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years of age as on 29.09.2026. No provisions for age relaxation have been mentioned in the advertisement.

Educational Qualification

The minimum academic requirement is to have successfully passed the 10th Standard from a recognized Board.

Sports Qualifications

Candidates must be 'Local Club Level Players' and fulfill at least one of the following three criteria in the specific game/sport they are applying for:
  1. Represented a State/Union Territory or the country in National or International competitions; OR won a medal in Junior National Championships; OR won a medal in Khelo India Youth Games (age category above 18 years); OR Khelo India Winter Games; OR won a medal in Khelo India University Games; OR won a medal in School Games Federation of India (SGFI).
  2. Represented their University in Inter-University Tournaments organized by the Inter-University Sports Boards.
  3. Represented the State/Union Territory School Team in National Sports/Games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation.

Nationality & Gender

Only male Indian citizens are eligible to apply for these positions.

Selection Process

The selection procedure will involve two main stages:
  1. Scrutiny/Shortlisting of Applications: All received applications will be reviewed against the eligibility criteria. Candidates who meet the requirements will be shortlisted.
  2. Field Trials: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in Field Trials at a designated venue in Bengaluru. The exact date and location for these trials will be communicated individually along with a unique Registration Number.
